Care & framing
Care & framing
A few simple habits keep your heirloom beautiful for years. Here's how to store, hang and frame your piece.
Everyday care
- Keep the piece out of direct sunlight — that keeps the colours fresh for years.
- Avoid damp rooms like bathrooms; paper and fabric prefer a stable, dry spot.
- Dust with a soft, dry brush or cloth. Don't use water or cleaning products.
Framing
Works on paper (baby card, drawing, poster) look their best behind glass with a mount/passe-partout so the artwork doesn't touch the glass. Ask your framer for UV-protective glass for extra protection against fading.
Canvases come gallery-wrapped and can be hung straight away — framing isn't needed, but a clean floater frame looks lovely.
The birth tile
The ceramic tile can sit on a small stand or hang on the wall. Clean it with a lightly damp cloth; avoid abrasive products.
